Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American producer and actor, has been known for her roles in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She received the B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue is an American actress as well as a producer and director. She is employed in film and television. She began acting on stage and then appeared in mainstream, independent as well as television shows. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she won critical acclaim as well as various nominations and awards, including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. Her debut on stage as Ariel, in The Tempest. Her stage credits include The Broadway production that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In her film career, she is most well-known for her role in movies such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help.
